Making Magic Moments Happen
Michelle’s Magic Moments Artistry and Decor is my small business with big dreams.
I thoroughly enjoy the process of designing and creating the unique products I sell. Each item is handmade, by me, with the intent to share my creativity and bring joy to others.
In its beginning stages, “Michelle’s Magic Moments” started as a financial lifeline and creative outlet for a single mother of two tiny humans. I enjoyed finding resourceful ways to embellish our home and make gifts on a tight budget.
However, before that, I was bitten by the creative bug at a young age. My mother was always happily creating. She made beautiful wedding cakes, ceramics, needle crafts, recycled furniture, and more. She taught me to dive into anything, to laugh at my mistakes (like sewing your project to your pant leg), and that finishing a project wasn’t a necessity to enjoying your time creating. Lol.
As much as I enjoy my own creative time, I love to work with and teach others. I passed on my passion for art and creativity to my kiddos to make their own way. Our son is a very talented musician/artist and our daughter has a Master’s Degree in Art/Sculpture and also very talented with mixed media. I am very proud of both of them.
As a childcare provider for 17 years, I found many ways to share my creative passion with the children in my care. Activities both indoors and outside, learning and exploring, art projects, creative movement, thoughtful discussions, music appreciation, and play. So much playing and using our imagination. I truly miss those days and each one of those children I was honored to learn from.
The next faze of Michelle’s Magic Moments brings endless possibilities. Our plan is to build an outbuilding on our property that will serve as a workshop, or “Maker’s Space”, and more classroom space with complete ADA accessibility. Our hope is to provide an inviting and organized place for people to come together. to appreciate and engage in creativity, and the arts. It continues to be my goal to help give each person in my community the opportunity to be involved in “Making Magic Moments Happen”. Regardless of previous experience, training or ones “ability level”, I believe the benefits of artistic expression go much further than relaxation and enjoyment.
